Small but PowerfulThe Micro BR is so small you can put it in your pocket! It measures just 136mm x 21.4mm (5 3/8" x 3 3/16" x 7/8"). But even though it's tiny, the Micro BR packs an entire studio worth of features into its tiny case. There are a dozen buttons on its front and even a built-in microphone for quick capture. A free carry case is included.
Four Tracks is just the startThe Micro BR is a four-track studio with four simultaneous playback tracks and two simultaneous record / input tracks. However, there's more to this recorder then meets the eye. Each of the four main playback tracks also has eight companion V-tracks (for a total of 32), so you can record take after take, then pick your best material for the final mixdown.
Drum Machine OnboardAlmost 300 drum patterns are included. use them for play-along inspiration or even as song foundations. The onboard rhythms don't consume any of the four playback tracks - they play back independently leaving your tracks free for vocals and guitar. So you can start your track even if the drummer hasn't turned up.
Classic Boss Effects IncludeA quality multi-effects processor is built into the Micro BR for enhancing your recordings and for creative experimentation. Amp modelling, compressor, delay... they're all here. And if you want the change the tempo of your MP3 audio without changing pitch (great for phrase training), you can apply the Micro BR's Time Stretch effect to MP3 or WAV file playback.
MP3 PlaybackThe Micro also plays MP3's, although hopefully you'll be producing your own music in no time meaning other people will be able to share your latest tracks. The Micro BR's Centre Cancel feature can be applied to MP3/WAV file playback, which helps minimise the vocal or lead-guitar track on pre-recorded songs for play-along style practice or performance.
Tune-In and Drop OutThe Micro BR also includes a no-nonsence guitar tuner, cutting down on the amount of extra gear you have to carry with you. Press the tuner button, nail your note and you're off.
There are no moving parts inside the Micro BR. It's a road-tough, digital recorder that uses memory-cards for storage. The recording media of choice is a widely available SD (Secure Digital) Card which can be easily found in electronics shops that sell digital cameras. One tiny SD Card can store your sessions, with the included 128MB card able to record approximately 65 minutes of audio with one mono track selected.
